Broken, beat, and scarred

That is a good summary of how I feel right now. Broken, beat, and scarred. I feel like I have gone 3 rounds with GSP. Actually, make that 15 seconds with GSP. I couldn't go 3 rounds with that guy. I figure I could run from him for about 10 seconds before he would catch me and kick the crap out of me. Hmm...ok, maybe I could go 8 seconds.

Been a rough week at work. Got lots done, but the sudden influx of hours has taken its toll. I really wanted to get a 12 pack and melt into my chair at home, drinking myself into a comfortable state. But I couldn't. The responsible side of me was too aware that I had to get through 9 hours of work on Friday so becoming one with the hop gods will have to wait.

Friday could be long too. With the budget the president is presenting it could roil the markets something terrible. This guy has been in office for just over a month and has left a path of destruction in his wake. He has broken many a promise made during his campaign. Transparency? Gone! Tax cuts for 95% of Americans? Gone! Ending wars? Gone! New tone in Washington? Hardly! No lobbyists in administration? Shattered! I could go on but what is the point? Does anyone who voted for him have any remorse? Especially those with kids. He has shifted the burden to paying for these programs onto the youth of America. Is that what they voted for? Higher taxes for all? I get the feeling that many of those who voted for Obama have tuned out since November. They have no clue what the impact of his polices were then and surely do not now.

Furthermore there is no way this budget can be paid for. Even with the tax hikes it come up far short of paying the bill. But I have an idea. Why don't the people in Hollywood pay for it? They have excess money. They worked hard to get him in and should help pay for his nonsense. They make millions for movie. Let them live on $500,000 just like the bank execs are suppose to. The rest goes to the government. Call it doing their part.

Must find happy place. Must find happy place. Sounds like a bar. The Happy Place Tap.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Oh wait, I need to finish up my taxes. Must file while I can still get a refund and before the prez decides to keep my money. I am also going to a boobyless bachelor party this weekend. Thankfully I have another engagement that allows me to leave early.

There are such things as politicians who keep their promises?
