Frozen Four

The Wisconsin Badgers have advanced to the Frozen Four once again after taking care of Vermont and fellow WCHA rival St. Cloud State this weekend. Except for a small let down in the first period of the Vermont game the Badgers had a solid weekend of hockey. The power play was effective and the defense was pretty solid. Gudmanson was awesome in front of the pipes and Hobey Baker award finalist Blake Geoffrion got the goals when needed.

Now it is on to Detroit to face RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology. Yeah I had to look that up ) next weekend. I caught most of RIT's games this weekend. Their goalie was smokin' in both games. He was a wall against Denver and kept blocking shots against New Hampshire. Thankfully the Badgers don't have to play them this weekend. I am hoping the goalie cools down and becomes the sieve that all Badgers fan like to see play against us.

Next weekend should be a fun one. Badger hockey followed by Opening Day with the MIlwaukee Brewers. Just 5 long work days to get over first.
