Chili season

It was still snowing when I woke up. Not much but it was coming down, adding to the couple of inches already on the ground. I groaned at the thought of shoveling yet again. I don't have a choice in that matter. All I could do was put it off for a bit. After all, I did have some chili to make.

I loves me some chili. I could eat it just about every day. When we get into winter, I will whip up a couple batches of it during the season. And then proceed to eat it for the next 5 days. My chili isn't anything fancy or secretive. I make it to my tastes and chow it down.

So as I am cutting up meat, onions, green peppers, garlic, and tomatoes, I couldn't help but notice what seemed like a parade going down the sidewalk. Every 5 minutes someone was going by walking their dog. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but couldn't they have waited an hour so I could get my sidewalk shoveled? Bastards are trampling down the snow. Yeah, I am selfish that way.

As I was shoveling, I did have one guy go right through the area I was just about to do. I didn't say anything as he was walking a big German Shephard. The dog even had shoes on. Ugh! Don't get me started on people that dress up dogs like they are people. Bunch of freaks.

Just tasted the chili. On the peppery side. Leaves a bit on the tongue. I will have to see how it tastes in a couple of hours. Only been cooking for an hour so it has at least 4 more to go.

There is no recipe per se. I have it all in my head. Some chuck roast, couple cans of tomatoes, onions, green peppers. It is rarely the same as I add in something new or try something different.
