It was around 1:30 or so yesterday when I felt it. When I recognized the feeling. My nasal cavities were beginning to burn. My throat a tad scratchy. I tried to ignore it but I knew what was happening. I was coming down with a cold.

I tried to ignore it as it was in the early stages. I went to the bar and talked with Ben about the things guys talk about when they are at the bar. I like talking to Ben. I learn things from him. Though he can be wrong like when he said that switching from beer to Makers wasn't going to make a difference. Well it did make me feel better, though it wouldn't stop the sneezing fits.

I think this cold I have is made worse by some allegy issues. I felt fine after I left the bar last night. I felt like I sobered up but the sneezing continued.

I stayed true to my cure and did two shots before going to sleep. It helped me rest for a while but I did find myself awake at 1 in the morning. I have a weird reaction whenever I wake up like that because I always compare it to bar time. In this case I knew I could have been drinking for another hour even though I rarely close bars anymore.

I found myself waking up a couple time last night with my nose all clogged up. I felt the fever and tried to sleep on through it. I got out of bed around 7 and gave the day a go.

I really wanted to go to the store and but the pork butt that was on sale. Slow cooked pork for dinner sounded awesome but I didn't feel that great. Head feels all stuffed up and a bit tired. As the day went on I felt better but the sneezing fits come on here and there.

Now in the afternoon I have turned to a bottle of Korbel to get me through. Brandy and Coke is my cure though I noticed I don't have much soda left. I don't want to leave the house if I can but I may need to.

I thought about who I may have caught this from. My boss was sick this week and I told him not to work on Friday because he shouldn't make us sick. My barber was ill when he cut my hair on Wednesday so he could have been the source.

Any which way it still sucks to be ill on a weekend.
