Sgt. Hulka report, day 2

My toe was throbbing when I woke up this morning. It was bad enough that I sat through a debacle of a Brewers game coupled with waiting 45 minutes for the bar shuttle, but to wake up with an annoying pain in the foot after little sleep is too much.

And yet I still went to work. Kinda had to. The boss's boss's boss is in town. Plus I left my laptop at work.

Oh, did I mention I there is a chance that the eye itchiness is pink eye? Being a guy who doesn't do doctors I consulted the internet and found it may be a less disgusting version. More allergy related than puss discharging viral related.

Shit. I am falling apart from head to toe. Literally.

I did notice that footwear makes a huge difference. Walking around Miller Park in sandals was that bad. Sure I probably shouldn't have had the beers but I cannot go to a ballgame and not drink. If it is gout then I guess I brought the pain on myself.

I am looking forward to a night off my feet later. Oh wait, I need to mow the lawn. Guess after 20 minutes of pain I can get off my feet. I need to get to mother's house as well this week. There may not be much time to spend off my feet considering Summerfest.

Hell, I am screwed. With the walking and beer drinking planned for this weekend, my toe may not heal until next week.

I wonder if I can get me a wheelchair to tool around in...

Update: After doing a little research it appears I contributed to my own pain. Assuming I am having a bout of gout, what I consumed last night for dinner and the beers at the game were the cause of the pain. I had pea soup for dinner. I probably shouldn't have eaten the soup to begin with as I couldn't recall when I had taken it out of the freezer. I think it was about 5 days ago but it could have been two weeks. Tasted ok. I only drank 3 beers last night thought they were a 12oz, 16oz, and 20 oz. whiche made for 4 bottles of beer. And to top it off, the Tylenol I popped this morning may have been bad too. I may have to stop at Walgreens for some ibuprofen. Or read the Tylenol label first.

Are we going to have to draw straws for who pushes the guy in the wheelchair through Summerfest?
