Farewell Scorpions

I knew the show would be a good one. I didn't expect it to be a fantastic as it was. So great that it even had my friend, a usually subdued guy, rocking out.

The Scorpions rolled into Milwaukee and left the crowd ecstatic having injected their style of heavy metal in the eardrums of the headbangers. From the beginning licks of Sting in the Tail through Coast to Coast, the Zoo and a resounding "Mil-waaa-kaaaaayyyyy, there's No One Like Youuuuuuuuuu", the Scorps had the heads bobbing and fists in the air.

They sounded solid, like a band that could go on for another 10 years. Sadly though it is the farewell tour and all good things come to an end. A nice encore with Rock You Like a Hurricane was played before the final goodbyes were said and a mess of beer cups and bottles was left behind.

I loved the show but of course would have liked to have seen a couple different things. Like get rid of Send Me An Angel and Winds of Change. Play Still Loving You instead.

Farewell Scorpions. Thank you for playing Milwaukee on the way out. Better yet, act like Kiss and just keep on going.
