More snow

Finally got some breathing room to put some thoughts together. Let's try something a bit different. Got some music playing as I plod through the day. So let's add the playlist as I type away. I will enter the song as it comes on even it appears midway through a paragraph so deal with it.

Smoothe up in Ya!- Bullet Boys
Nothing gonna wake you up quicker than hauling your butt out of bed into 10 degree weather to shovel up 5 inches of snow. I know of things that can wake you up happier and snow ain't one of them. 1 Bourbon, 1 Scotch, and 1 Beer- John Lee Hooker. There is more of this white stuff coming on its way too. Up to 10 inches. Cripes! If I didn't live a block away from a liquor store I would have to stock up. So for those of you that may be in the way of a blizzard, go to the store now so you have supplies to get you through the day.

Having been stuck in Vegas for an extra day has thrown me off a bit. Boyz Gonna Rock- Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Stuff I would have gotten done on Monday ain't done so I was playing some catch up yesterday. It caused me to miss two poker tournaments online so that kinda sucked. One thing I had to do was get some gift baskets for the family. This has become a bit of a tradition for me to have these sent out a couple days before Christmas. In order to guarantee they arrive before December 25 I had to get the order in by today. Got it all done so that part is set.

I still have a couple other things to buy for the family. I am at a loss for some and others I don't care about since it is near impossible to buy for them. Oh, I am also suppose to get a gift for a 5 month year old kid? Really? Is that necessary? Such a joke. Kid won't have a clue about what the hell is going on and I have to buy clothes for this little beast. 10,000 Fist in the Air- Disturbed. It may be too late to buy anything online so now I am forced to go to the store. I probably get someone to go with me (hear that ladies? feel free to volunteer) so they can figure out what is "cute" and what isn't. If it was up to me I would find the most God awful looking thing I could find and get it. In fact, I may do that for my brother. They talked about ugly Christmas sweaters on the radio this morning. I should get him one and then insist he wear it next year. Teach that bastard to not give me a list.

Hell's on Fire- Metal Shop Metal Skool Steel Panther. I have about 10 minutes before I need to hit up a meeting so I might as well waste it here. Since Steel Panther is coming through the ear buds, let's talk about the show. They have an ongoing gig at the Green Valley Ranch playing every Friday at Ovation, a club inside the casino. When we got there and got inside the club, they were playing old hair metal video on the screens. White Knuckle Ride- Night Ranger. Man were those videos cheesy. Watching In the Still of the Night by Whitesnake was painful, but funny. The crew I was with dug it as much as I did so I knew it was going to be a great time. The show was once again awesome. I will have to wait a bit to post some more on this as I want to steal pics from Mrs. Chako. She was clicking away as they played so I know she has some interesting photos to view. The band itself was beyond expected. They were a bit more on the crude side than last night but funnier than hell. The theme for the night was a Bad Santa Party. When you walked it you could get a pick with some slutty lady elves, etc. The band went along with it announcing what Christmas meant as well as some other holidays. I can't repeat what they said about Kwaanza. Way too funny and off color. Don't need people to call me a racist for hearing a band make jokes. Blinded by the Light- Manfred Mann. All in all a good time.

I would go on but time is up. If you are in Vegas and you do not see Steel Panther, you are doing yourself a great injustice. Music and comedy always go together and these guys are a must see!
