Makin' copies

For one morning this week, things don't feel so hectic. I have some breathing room for the next two days. A break from the monotony of a job that I do not like but understand to be necessary to lift a burden off my shoulders.

I don't talk about my job here. I know too many people that have been hassled by The Man for what they write about and I don't need that. Heck, most people I know don't know what I do exactly. They may know who I work for but I don't believe they know what it is I do for a living.

Back to the monotony. For the past 3 days I have spent a half hour making copies. Copies of sensitive documents to ship across the country. I spend my time feeding them into the machine and standing by to make sure no one comes snooping around. I know which papers will cause the machine to jam and which will flow right through. What I don't know is why the copier suddenly started copying onto 11'x17' paper for a while.

All this copying now will make my job much easier in a couple of months. It is just a pain in the ass to take care of right now. But it has helped me sharpen my mad stapling skillz.

I was at the bar last night for trivia. When I walked in there were 3 girls at the bar ordering a shot. One girl was louder than hell and somewhat annoying. I was tempted to take off a sock and shove it in her mouth. Apparently there was a table giving it hell last night drinking like it was their last day on Earth. They were playing some game called Helen Keller. From what I gathered, if you lost the game you had to drink the shot. The shot was to be made from 3 random liquors. The bartender would slowly move his finger by the bottles and pull whichever one his finger was over when you said STOP. The girl ended up drinking Hendricks gin, Grey Goose, and some rum/tequila mix. Another guy ended up drinking Cabo Wabo tequila, Cuervo Black, and Ouzo. I won't be playing that game anytime soon.
