Futility

Its a lesson in futility. Wrestling with a system that doesn't want to cooperate. You need to get work done so you can distribute reports to managers so they can get their work done. Problem is the system broke down last week putting you way behind. They claim they fixed the system but you notice how slow it is- when it works.

So you think of ways to beat the system. If I try this, I may be able to process a bit faster. But it doesn't work that way. It only seems to bog things down a bit more. The real result is you just wasted an hour by trying to be more efficient. The work still needs to be done and you are at the mercy of the system.

That is how I will explain the dent in the file cabinet when asked.
